The·Children's Dance Group Herforst is a vigorous company of dance enthusiasts. With their great dance performances and costumes they entertain their audience at various events and festivities, mainly in Herforst.

Currently, we have two dancing instructors, Ms. Pia Pallien and Ms. Nicole Orth, teaching more than 20 dancers between 6 and 13 years old. We train every Wednesday at the Gemeindehaus in Herforst. Due to the large number of interested children, we have two age groups:

Group I: 6 to approx. 10 years        – Instructor Pia Pallien    – Training: 5:00 to 5:45 pm
Group II: Approx. 10 to 12/13 years – Instructor Nicole Orth  – Training: 5:45 to 6:30 pm

Kindertanzgruppe 2013We invite all of the dance-loving children in Herforst and the neighboring communities:
Contact us or just come by on one of our training days. We welcome everyone to one of our groups.

Below is some information for you and your parents:
You need comfortable clothing (i. e. jogging suit, T-shirt) and most importantly: indoor sneakers (which should be worn solely inside the training room). Also, bring something to drink with you to hydrate during the training.

For the first two months, newcomers will have a trial subscription. Afterwards, they can decide, if they want to continue with the dance training and become an official member.

Official membership registration is mandatory after the initial two trial months. Registration is through the Heritage, Culture and Traditions Association Herforst (Heimat- und Kulturverein (HUK)). Both dance groups have an existing accident insurance, which includes all dancers during rehearsals and public performances. The yearly membership fee per child is 9.00 Euros. If there is more than one member of the same family, the single membership will be automatically converted into a family membership. The yearly fee for a family membership is 18.00 Euros. Membership fees are payable in cash, by money transfer or direct debit by February 15 of each year. (We would appreciate payment by direct debit!).

Here.you can download the membership application.

Additionally, we have a collection fund to support the purchase of costumes and our various activities. Monthly contribution is 2.- Euros, which is only paid by official group members. We kindly ask you to give the money to your child to bring it to our training on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

In exceptional cases (i. e. before public performances), we may have additional training / rehearsal days. All information, about additional rehearsal days or other information will be provided to each family in writing.

Membership
If someone wants to leave the dance group, membership with the dance group ends immediately, when we receive notification. However, membership in the Heritage, Culture and Traditions Association (HUK) remains, if you don't terminate it yourself. If you terminate your HUK membership before February 15, you don't have to pay dues for that year. Should you terminate after February 15, you will not receive a refund of the paid dues. The association will keep the dues for - let's say, a good cause.

Insurance
The Children's dance group is covered by an accident insurance of the Heritage, Culture and Traditions Association. All activities within the scope of the dance group, in other words, direct way from and to rehearsal and performances, during training and performances and our various other activities and events, are insured.

In case of an injury, the child is initially covered by its own (its parents') medical insurance. Should there be complications from the accident, the insurance of the association will cover consequential damages.

Good to know
We will absolutely, always be there during the indicated training times. At no time, will we conclude our training sessions at an earlier time and just send home your kids unaccompanied. Please let us know, as early as possible, if your child cannot attend one of the rehearsals. We will also provide training to children, who are at home during school breaks and want to dance.
